The forest was bright with light and activity. Forest Banshee could easily be heard as well as the occasional grunt of the many Hammerheads that roamed the area. Far from the areas of the RDA was a small clearing. Off to the one side of the clearing there was a small, but well built, lean-to shelter.

In front of the shelter was a small fire to keep the large predators and insects away as well as keep the small shelter warm at night. Inside of the shelter a small boy sat, his eyes blood shot and puffy. The boy, Liam, wrapped his arms around his small legs with his head resting on his knees.

'Dad...you promised that you would come back for me. Where are you? Please...I'm cold...' He thought as he allowed a tear to fall from his blue eyes. He didn't know what was going to happen to him or to his life. He wasn't even sure that his dad was coming back. He had SAID that he would, but if the RDA had anything to do with it, even Liam understood that, he might not his father again.

The thought saddened Liam greatly. Having never known his mother, he only had his father in his life. He wished that his dad had not been involved with this whole situation, but it was his father's wish. He wanted Liam to help the natives so he had made the five year old an avatar body, hoping that The People would accept a child as one of them.

Everything was great. That was until the Military found out about the secret plan. Once they realized what was up, the cornered his father and said that he had to give Liam and his avatar to the RDA. Of course, Liam's father knew what they really wanted. They wanted a spy. His father had known that if they had gotten a hold of Liam and the avatar, that they would send the boy into the Na'vi tribe and make him relay information from the tribe back to the RDA.

That was the reason that Liam's father had taken him to the middle of the forest and set this shelter up for him. He had told Liam to stay here and that he would be back. He said that if he had not returned by nightfall, that the next morning he was to move on without him; but he had been in the same clearing for three days now.

Liam looked at the backpack that his father had given him. Inside there was a map with the location of his avatar as well as a place with he could link with the avatar body, but there was no way for Liam to read the map. He knew that his father had marked the location of the Omaticaya tribe, but there was no way he was going to TRY to find the group of Na'vi. He was scared of them, even though he had been taught there language. They were still killing humans and Liam didn't know if they were the type to hurt a child.

"What am I going to do?" He murmured to himself as he looked into the woods
